ABOUT ME
I wander with my flip phone, journal and film camera through a generation captivated by a virtual world. From Seattle's concrete war zone where everything is "turn off the lights" and glazed eyes searching the loud dark to Vancouver's talking walls and cement skate park home of lost boys. From Santa Cruz's secret swimming holes to the erotic city noise of Portland hotel rooms. From NorCal's off-the-grid forest festivities stomped by the dancing feet of all who wander in the bazaar to the run-down bars and laundry mats of ghost towns. From cemeteries to sandy beaches. I search and I still am searching for someone or something that remains in-touch with real. Sometimes I find it and sometimes I find them... sometimes I lose it and sometimes I lose them...
Film and Pen-to-Paper Journals are tangible; I can hold them and touch the ink. They aren't a falsified product of photoshop and they're more than questionable projections on a screen. Film captures exactly what is there in the moment it is photographed. Pen-to-Paper Journals capture exactly what is on one's mind without a backspace key or an eraser. What you write will always be there even if you scribble over it. My photography and journals are my defiance against society's so-called "social" bullshit. With every moment and thought I capture and every photograph and final writing piece I produce, I'm further strengthened as I white-knuckle authenticity. I shoot and write with hope for my generation to wake up and re-enter the Real World. Tumblr is my mood board, so watch, as my moods swing.
